- Technical Information -
I use a variety of Nikon 35mm cameras and a medium format 645 Mamiya for b and w landscape work, my favourite filmstock is Ilford PanF which gives extremely fine image quality but requires accurate exposure to bring out its full potential. I print on Ilford multigrade paper up to 20 in x 16 in. My favourite fast film is Fuji Neopan.
In the last two or three years, digital photography has overtaken my darkroom work and I now shoot mostly digital images. I started with a Nikon D70 and have now moved on to a NIkon D200, I also have a snappy Fuji FX31fd which produces surprisingly good image quality for a point and shoot.
I have a Minolta Scan Dual IV for digitising old 35mm film negs but I have always been disappointed in the results it gave, and I use it only rarely. I was also apalled at the atrocious customer service I received from Minolta, when it became faulty three weeks out of it's guarantee period. |
